The High Gate Ostrich Show Farm is a great place to experience the world’s largest bird up, close and personal. Highgate is the world’s oldest ostrich show farm that provides you with a real African farm experience. The guided tour takes approximately 75 minutes and an expert guide will show you the modern breeding methods, how the largest eggs of any living bird species are incubated, the hatching room plus you get to experience hand feeding an Ostrich.

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is situated only 6.5km outside Oudtshoorn en route to the Cango Caves. At the Lodge you will find pristine Bushveld, lush vegetation and a 5ha dam with hippos and more than 217 bird species. Trained guides will escort guests on a bush safari (game drive) in an open game viewing vehicle, with a refreshment stop at one of the lookout points. More than 20 species of animals can be seen on the bush safaris, some of which are buffalo, rhino, giraffe and many more.
